Akshay grew up in India and did medical school at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS); following that he received training in research at Johns Hopkins and Harvard University; currently, he is completing my residency in Urologic Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital, and he intends to go into Urologic Oncology and pursue a career as a physician-scientist.
