Dr. Wikum Dinalankara
Wikum obtained his PhD in computer science from the University of Maryland, College Park. Currently he is working as a post-doctoral fellow. His research interests are: integration of mechanism for developing robust predictive and diagnostic models for cancer, utilization of divergence from normality in predictive methods, and study of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes.

Eddie Luidy Imada

Diego Fernando Sánchez Martínez, MD
Diego is currently a student for the Master in Bioinformatics degree at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. He got his MD and Specialist in Surgical Pathology degrees from the National University of Asuncion, Paraguay. He joined our lab to apply bioinformatics tools to the study of cancer biology and its clinical behaviour.

Dr. Aiyetan is currently a Bioinformatics Scientist at the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research. His current scientific research interests centers around posttranslational modifications, synthetic lethality, cancer metabolism, imaging, precision medicine and reproducible research.

Anuj Gupta
Anuj Gupta works as a Senior Research Data Analyst at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins University. He works with investigators to tailor innovative sequencing approaches to their experiments and take each experiment from sequencing through analysis.

Apurva Chitre
After working with Dr. Luigi and then with Dr. Mathias at the Asthma and Allergy department at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center as a Research Data Analyst, Apurva started working with Dr. Palmer at the Department of Human Genetics at the University of Chicago as a Bioinformatician. They are now part of the Department of Psychiatry at University of California San Diego. Her research interests include Complex traits and Polygenic disorders, Genetic Influences on Addiction and Big data management.

Akshay grew up in India and did medical school at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS); following that he received training in research at Johns Hopkins and Harvard University; currently, he is completing my residency in Urologic Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital, and he intends to go into Urologic Oncology and pursue a career as a physician-scientist.

Ali Raza Bhinder
Ali Raza graduated from Punjab Medical College Faisalabad Pakistan in 2015. After his graduation, he worked in Gastroenterology JHU as a post-doc for almost 9 months. Then he moved to Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School and worked as a post-doc. He is currently working in Gastroenterology as a PGY-1 in Pakistan and has also passed his MRCP-1.

Vikas Sud
Vikas visited the Marchionni Lab as a medical student to further his knowledge in Bioinformatics and lear the practical use of the R computing environment. He has continued to pursue similar projects upon his return to India. After completing Medical School, Vikas worked as a Research Scholar in the Department of Surgery, University of Pittsburgh, and he is currently working as a Surgical Resident in New Delhi, India.
